Read moreThe origin of this brand dates back to 1887 when two Germans, Ferdinand Claus and Georges Schweder, founded the first soap and perfume factory in northern Portugal. Coming down from the Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcantara, you will see one of their shops on your right. Your eye will immediately be drawn to the retro and colourful packaging, reminiscent of the Art Deco style of the 1930s. The smells of soaps (then declined in candles and cie) are bewitching and make you want to crack.
