Almost 11 km east of Villaviciosa (N-632), this inland village has a group of completely renovated pre-Romanesque churches (9th century). San Salvador de Priesca, the later of these churches, is the most important one. On the way back from Priesca to the coast, the walk plunges into the heart of the green hilly meadows dotted with rural hamlets. A feast for the eyes! The Playa de Rodiles, at the end of the ría de Villaviciosa, is then reached by a small winding road through meadows. This large wild beach, but with showers, is lined with eucalyptus trees at the mouth of the estuary of Villaviciosa.
