On a plain, at the foot of the steep rocks of the Sierra del Castellar, it reveals a very Andalusian touch through its squares, alleys and houses that earned it the nickname of Little Seville. In their reconquest of Seville, the troops of Fernando II seized it in 1241, but it was the year 1394 that would be decisive because it would be given by Enrique III to Gomes I Suárez de Figueroa, the first of the Feria lineage. They will mark its visual of the XIVth century to the XVIIth century. Another element of its development is its long commercial tradition, which continues today with the ferias and markets of San Juan (1395) and San Miguel (1453).
