Another place related to the epic of Don Quixote. Not far from this town of more than 13,200 inhabitants, built on a hill, are the ten windmills that remain of the original thirty-two and that attract the largest gatherings in La Mancha. Three of them date back to the 16th century and keep their machinery intact. And one of them, the Poyatos Mill, now serves as a tourist office (https://www.campodecriptana.es). Other mills have had other uses: Pilon, a wine museum, Lagarto, a poetry museum or Culebro, a museum dedicated to the actress Sara Montiel, the child of the country.
