Only a few kilometers separate Santa Eulària from Sant Carles. The village, which retains the tranquility of yesteryear, is organized around its beautiful, large, white 18th-century church. If you're visiting Sant Carles, it's a good idea to have lunch on site. You'll be glad to sit in the cool shade of the vast vaults at the entrance to the village, or on a shady terrace. Some of the houses here have retained their local character, but most are of recent construction. To soak up the local atmosphere, stop off at Bar Anita, a popular and legendary café-restaurant, where you can try the house Hierbas Ibicencas. As for crafts, the Las Dalias hippie market, held every Saturday, is very popular. There are dozens of outlets selling handicrafts, musical instruments and decorative items. Of all the island's hippy markets, it's certainly the most interesting in Ibiza. At the start of each season, the owner chooses his own exhibitors to ensure a good diversity of products. Admittedly, the Las Dalias market is no longer as hippy as it may have been in its heyday, but something authentic and genuinely warm remains here. It's the most emblematic on the island, and also a culturally dynamic place, offering numerous events, shows, festivals and concerts. A place not to be missed when visiting northern Ibiza!
