Between Hora Skafion and Agia Roumeli, Loutro is the only natural harbor on the coast. The village spreads out in an arc along the sea, nestled at the foot of the mountains, in a succession of hotels, taverns and bars. The atmosphere is calm, without cars: the only access is by sea. The other possibilities to come here are the coastal path that goes west to Agia Roumeli and the steep path that goes up to the plateau and the village of Anapolis. The quietness of the place is only disturbed when the ferry fills the space of the port, several times a day - which is impressive. The rest of the time, it's almost like being at the end of the world, where time no longer exists. It is so small, wedged between the sea and the mountains, that Loutro can seem suffocating if you don't settle down to sleep: indeed, all the space of the waterfront is occupied by the terraces of taverns and other hotels. You can rent deckchairs, umbrellas and kayaks on the beach, but you will be more quiet if you go further east and west.
