Located in the most fertile part of the island, this windy coastal village is ideal for windsurfing. Ferries to Ithaca and Cephalonia call at Vassiliki. 6 kilometers up the mountain, in Aghios Petros, you'll find a much less touristy atmosphere. You can enjoy home cooking in the tavernas in the main square. Every day, caiques run between the beaches of Porto Katsiki, Ayofili and Alektori. In the surrounding area, you'll find a wide choice of accommodation, campsites, tavernas, stores, cafés and modern bars. The beach also has a number of hotels that rent out equipment for windsurfers.
