Travel Guide Pefkochori

You may hear Pefkochori referred to as Kapsochora, which means "burnt village" in Greek. According to legend, the village was destroyed by a fire set by pirates. There are no traces left today of this unfortunate past, and the village's taverns bring its activity to a level it has probably never known before. Ideal for a short break.
