2 km from Trogir, this small fishing village was founded in 1564 by a wealthy nobleman from Trogir. Modelled on Diocletian's Palace (Split), the historic town was fortified with a wall and round towers. In the town center, a Baroque church houses a painted wooden cross dating back to the 14th century. Today, Seget-Donji has been converted to tourism. It's a good place to stay to escape the summer hustle and bustle of Trogir, which you can reach on foot via the coast. Seget-Donji is an interesting stop-off point for exploring the Split region, discovering its heritage and enjoying the pleasures of seaside tourism.
