On a high, isolated hill overlooking the Wadi Hisa valley, this Nabataean temple was built some years before AD 1. Additions appear to have been made over the next two centuries, as evidenced by the different architectural styles. Pottery fragments and animal remains suggest that some pilgrimages were accompanied by feasting. From the Kings' Road, after the Wadi Hasa valley coming from Kerak, a 1.5 km path leads to the foot of the hill. It takes about 15 minutes to climb the hill. There is not much left of the monument, but the walk is pleasant.
