Momchilovtsi is located 100 km from Plovdiv, in the Rhodope Mountains, at an altitude of 1,200 meters. The site is appreciated by nature lovers and hikers who find many marked hiking trails. The speleologists also find there their happiness. Hunters too. 15 km from Momchilovtsi, Kormisosh is the largest hunting reserve in Bulgaria. The town has come out of the shadows with its yoghurt festival which takes place in September, under the sponsorship of a Chinese firm. During the festival: tasting, contest, election of the yogurt queen... Moreover, the local yogurt itself is considered as the king of yogurts!
