This village, located above the southern rampart of the town, at an altitude of 800 m, is accessible in half an hour from both Saint-François and Bellepierre. On the way, remember to stop at the Beaubassin estate or the Happy Valley garden. Starting point for walks, picnic and barbecue area, the plateau is extended by the Chicots plain up to the rampart of La Roche Écrite. As you go up, the whole of Saint-Denis can be discovered. The village developed when the beach and seaside activities were not yet fashionable; it was one of the obligatory passages for walkers to the circuses, via La Roche Écrite.
