Since 2018, Nicolas Kouleipis has been baking to the delight of the residents of the Châtelain neighborhood, and others. Fine French pastries (saint-honoré, chocolate-coffee pie, a killer...) but also Greek. Nicolas pays tribute to his origins with melomakarona (cinnamon and clove cookies), portokalopita (phyllo and orange cake) or ekmek tsoureki (brioche soaked in spices with nuts, cream, whipped cream, almonds or pistachio). Their mission: to offer fresh truffles and various products made from this exceptional tuber. They mainly come from France and Italy but the products are homemade in their own workshop in the Marche region: oil, tapenades, mustard, black truffle carpaccio, sauces, rice, pasta... A large number of Belgian restaurant owners buy their supplies here and private individuals, eager for truffles and advice, are welcomed with open arms. All of which affirms a formula that is too often misused: "Directly from the producer to the consumer".

This little store is filled from floor to ceiling with all the best that Brussels, and Belgium, has to offer: a great cuvée of gueuze, wines from the 4 corners of the country, liqueurs, fresh fruit juices, pâtés, cookies and even chocolates and gift baskets. Enough to bring a taste of Belgium home... or to give as a gift. On the way between Place Royale and Porte de Namur, you can easily find Jat'Café. After two hours of shopping, we happily settle into one of these comfortable, vintage(and harmoniously out of tune) armchairs. We enjoy this moment of serenity after ordering a small coffee with a mascarpone-sanded apple-cinnamon. Less than ten metres from the Grand Place, what more beautiful setting could there be for the diverse products of the Galler firm: pralines, ganaches, fresh cream, marzipan, truffles and macaroons! It is especially for the richly filled sticks (café liégeois, Mandarine Napoléon, blanc coco...) that one comes. So many delights with an undeniably Belgian character! The fact that the brand has gone under the Qatari flag has not altered the quality of the products and the brand continues to be one of the court's patented suppliers.

It's quite a unique concept. After returning from Asia, Gwen decided to combine Eastern flavors with Western techniques in her tea/pastry shop. The result is Ka Bao, essentially a soufflé sponge cake with cream (speculoos-raspberry, mango-coconut) of incomparable lightness. But alongside this, you'll find Japanese-style cheesecakes, savory baos and the famous mochi. To complete the escape, various Vietnamese-style coffees and milk teas are available. La Septième Tasse has built an image of reference in teas and accessories. More than 300 teas and herbal teas are available in bulk at the entrance of the store. The staff is always ready to give good advice. The second part of the store is dedicated to accessories: teapots in various materials (terracotta, stoneware, porcelain, glass or cast iron), isotherms, double-walled... As well as a series of truly exceptional pieces, part of the living national heritage of Japan. The Gong Fucha and the Cha No Yu will no longer hold any secrets for you!

Aurélie is at the head of this sustainable grocery store. Fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables, fresh meat, cold cuts, cheese, honey, drugs, bread, eggs... The model is that of a cooperative of producers and consumers who value the distribution of quality products in a short circuit. La Vivrière works with a team of about fifty sustainable farmers and craftsmen from all walks of life, mainly from Wallonia. The aim is to have a maximum impact on the local economy by limiting the number of intermediaries and thus to have access to healthy and local products.

Jaco is a whole concept dedicated to the pleasures of Italian cuisine: a restaurant, a stylish bar and a delicatessen. For this, owners Charles and Laure de Pauw called on Domenico Lamanna, a connoisseur and lover of fine produce. There's everything you need to prepare a feast: pasta, olive oil, a range of cheeses with mouth-watering names, the best Italian charcuterie and a selection of transalpine wines, among others. And if you don't feel like cooking, the catering corner is there to satisfy you.

Le Comptoir des Vignerons Belges is a wine and spirits store offering a wide selection of products: sparkling and still wines, spirits (a fine list of gins, rums, whiskies...), non-alcoholic drinks and accessories. A great place to treat yourself, responsibly. Plus: Crazy Belgians packs with a mix of Belgian products. Customers can buy in-store, collect their orders or have them delivered.

Belgobon is a catering company created by Juliette and Corentin, but they have now opened a grocery store in Schaerbeek. Among the delights of the grocery store are home-made take-away meals with a maximum of local, seasonal and, if possible, organic products. Belgobon also offers home-made bread and pastries, jams, sweet and savoury biscuits, cold cuts, cheeses, beers and wines. The shop does not lack choice and moreover, it is good, it is Belgian! Do not deprive yourself.

A Frenchman who has lived in Belgium for a quarter of a century, Laurent Richard has made a name for himself by delivering his bread to such prestigious establishments as the Villa Lorraine and Rob's grocery stores. Using additive-free flours, he produces a range of particularly tasty breads. From the Ganshoren workshop (80 people work there), a thousand loaves, ten thousand rolls and six thousand pastries are produced every day to supply the five shops and the "professional" customers. The Court of Belgium would even be part of this clientele...
