The village at the "end of the plain" is located at an altitude of 800 meters, on the heights of a plain, with beautiful views of the Limassol coast. Crossed by the River Kryos, which flows down from Mount Olympus, Pera Pedi's main source of income is the cultivation of apples and wine. Here you'll find the island's first large modern winery, founded in 1891 and bought out in 1924 by Keo, Cyprus's largest spirits company. The site is not open to visitors. You can, however, visit the Constantinou winery to the north-east, renowned for its orange liqueur (Monday-Saturday 9am-4pm). In the best-preserved part of the village, to the south-west, is the Agios Nikolaos church (1776), home to two precious 16th-century icons and the relics of several local saints. There is also a Wine and Agriculture Museum, but this is currently closed. From Pera Pedi, you can follow the wine route through Kouka (1.5 km southwest), Silikou (2.8 km south of Kouka) and Lofou (7 km southeast of Silikou).
