Situated at an altitude of 520 meters and crossed by the Agios Minas river, Kato Drys boasts a number of beautiful neoclassical and traditional houses, a good tavern, a small folklore museum housed in the beautiful Papachristoforou mansion and several churches, one of which is dedicated to the island's birthplace. Kato Drys is the birthplace of the island's greatest saint, Neophytos the Recluse (1134-1214), founder of the monastery of Agios Neophytos, near Paphos.
