Renowned for its royal chapel and large monastery, this village lies at an altitude of 240 meters, surrounded by small mountains and surrounded by greenery. Once populated by a quarter of Turkish Cypriots, Pyrga still boasts a small mosque close to the royal chapel. On the way to Nicosia, don't miss the astonishing Platini Museum in Mosfiloti and the beautiful Agii Apostoli (Holy Apostles) Church in Pera Chorio, 13 km to the north.
