Twenty kilometers north of Silute, this village is an interesting stopover, as much for its - sometimes - unusually colorful wooden houses as for its monumental red-brick Gothic church (which is, in fact, the largest church of its time). Step inside, it's magnificent! The cemetery on the outskirts of town is also well worth a visit: full of flowers, colorful and busy. The park in the village is a haven of peace. Just a little further on, don't miss Vilkèno Manor which, although abandoned after an attempt at renovation, offers a very special atmosphere.
