20 km north of Enna, this town of 14,000 inhabitants is interesting for its picturesque 17th century houses which give an idea of the splendour of the period. But also for its monumental baroque fountain, dating from the same period, with its 24 water jets under as many arches. The Capuchin church and the mother church are also worth a look. Finally, in addition to the numerous churches, the originality of the city certainly lies in its castle. During the Arab and Byzantine rule, the castle was built and equipped with an ingenious irrigation system. To get there: Etna Trasporti bus from Enna (35 minutes, about 3 €).
