Very close to Enna, this small enclave surrounded by nature hosts the mythological lake of the same name (according to the myth, it was here that Persephone was abducted by Hades). It was the former hunting reserve of Frederick II. Quite famous in Italy also thanks to its autodrome (formula 3000), this small village remains quiet. If you are lucky, you can see the coloring of the water of the lake, due to microorganisms (it is a very rare phenomenon that occurs in autumn). You can also go for a nice one-hour walk around the lake of Pergusa and its "Pinetta", a small forest. By bus, from Enna, line 5, SAIS company.
