Gateway to the Madonie Mountains, this agricultural village lives from the cultivation of wheat, olives and almonds, and from the breeding of sheep and cows. Every year a big agricultural fair takes place here. Resuttano is home to some eighteenth century buildings. About thirty kilometers north of Caltanissetta, the site is famous for having hosted Frederick II. It is in fact 5 km from Resuttano that the sovereign would have written his will, in an Arab castle, rebuilt in the 14th century by the Normans, occupied by the Vintimmiglia family and then by other Sicilian aristocratic families until the 18th century
