The popular municipality of Regla extends its three neighborhoods (Casablanca, Guaicanamar and Loma Modelo) on the southern and eastern shores of Havana Bay and faces the Habana Vieja neighborhood. It is the smallest municipality in Havana and especially the least populated. It is from a hill in Regla that the monumental sculpture of the Christ of Havana, work of the Cuban artist Jilma Madera, representing Jesus of Nazareth, dominates Havana Bay. But Regla is especially known as one of the centers of the Yoruba religion and santería.
