The natural beaches of the east of Havana extend for about fifteen kilometers. Bright sunshine, warm and transparent waters, fine white sand, pine trees and coconut palms, so many invitations to relax. The Habaneros flock there for the weekends or during the vacations. Bacuranao, the closest, is located 20 minutes from Havana, Trópico, the farthest, is an hour's drive away. In between: Tarara, Megano, Santa María del Mar (the longest and most popular), Boca Ciega (popular with gay couples), Guanabo (often the most crowded, because the buses go there), Jibacoa and Brisas del Mar (pebble beach, but with a more natural setting and fewer tourists). Accommodation is available in Santa María de Mar and Guanabo. Restaurants and discotheques complete the offer. To eat, we recommend the Taramar (Km 18,5), open for lunch and dinner and located just in front of Playa Tarara (excellent paella and good value for money)
