Historical textbooks mention its existence for the resistance and collective suicide of its population in 207 B.C., following the arrival of the Roman invaders. Today, it stands out for its squares and staggered streets that spread out on the slope of the San Cristóbal peak, the prelude to the Sierra, and for its Arab fortress. We will also visit some palaces, churches like the one of Santa María la Mayor and small white houses. In the city there is the smell of spices that give their flavour to the artisanal pastry specialities such as mantecado, to which a small monographic museum has been dedicated.
