Covering 51,600 hectares, it extends over nine towns in the province of Cadiz. Among them, El Bosque with its trout fishing areas, Ubrique, famous for its leather goods. But also Benamahoma, which still celebrates Moorish and Christian festivals or the splendid village of Zahara de la Sierra, overlooking an exceptional site formed by the Zahara reservoir. Thanks to the heavy rains, the Pinsapo, a relic of the Tertiary era and emblem of this green protected area, has been able to survive. It also includes peaks such as El Terrón, (1,654 m) and caves and gorges(Garganta Verde).
