5 km south of Masada, on the southern shores of the Dead Sea, Ein Bokek is a seaside resort of large, luxurious hotels that cater mainly to tour groups. These gigantic hotels spoil the scenery a little, we won't lie. However, the surroundings are splendid. There are a few private beaches, as well as two large, free public beaches with changing rooms and showers. Street parking, however, is not free. A free religious beach is located on the southern outskirts of town. Two areas with a few shops and restaurants are located in the center and south of Ein Bokek.
