In the evening, reception remains one of the strengths and the kitchen is even more creative, always with this concern for presentation that transforms plates into the implementation of ephemeral art: small pot of foie gras and its pochée fig to red wine, a cod back and its red peppers, muffin tomato or duck magret with its exotic sauce. In a neighborhood where animations are lacking, we love the thematic evenings proposed by the Pell Mell with every Thursday night of magic, but also, other days, music, dance or coffee theatre.

A strange place for a meeting. In this street with dull façades, where nothing, or almost, suggests a place full of charm, you stop short in front of Steff's. Stéphane Fernandez is in the street and he still debates with a guest on the pavement. At the corner of the rue de Sèze and the Boileau street, right next to the town hall of the 6 ^th (moreover, this establishment was the former Café of the Town Hall), some work transformed this "traditional" coffee into a "café pub" perfectly in the air of time. No one will be surprised to learn that the new boss is named Chloe. But what's more amazing is the journey of this adorable person who displays a Master's Degree in Chemistry, who has gone through management and recruitment, who has training in bookstores and is now chef in cooking and pastry! The à la carte is inspired by the local quality ingredients, with renowned suppliers as the famous Sibilia charcuterie which we find in an assortment. For the hot dishes, fried big-scale sand smelt or a roast free-range chicken cassolette. Within walking distance of the docks of the Rhône and place de Lyautey, in a 6th arrondissement animated by the commercial activity, Molière make the "three beats" at lunchtime. Le Molière is a pleasant café-bar opened since 2013 with wide opening hours (bar from 6:30 to 23:00), extended by just setting up next to the Cuisine of Molière. Summer terraces in a little commercial street where you can lie down on red deckchairs, exposed stones façade, Cuisine de Molière offers all the charm of an old neighborhood bistro (by the way, there will soon be a shooting of a pilot for France 2...), a pleasant meeting place for the inhabitants of the neighborhood, inviting all Lyon to join them. A stylish and popular meeting place since 1979, for business as well as romantic meals. Very comfortable upholstered bench seats, silverware, bronzes, as much good taste that magnify the 19th-century appearance restaurant that bears the Pierre Orsi label. And, when the dishes arrive, we are torn between admiration for the chef and emotion, facing the refinement and the finesse with which the dishes are prepared and taken care. Ballotine of duckling with pistachios, lobster raviolis, saffron cream or Prawns poached with Eastern spices to start. Next, golden scorpionfish fillet, virgin sauce, fennel seed, round fillet of veal stuffed with herbs, simple juice or a lamb shank, simmered in old-fashioned way. Elegance and authenticity in "old-fashioned" way are cheerfully reflected in these dishes, and as for the quality of this address, the kindness of the staff will convince you. Recommended for the exceptional setting as well as for the cuisine.

A successful blend between the beauty of a place, place Edgar-Quinet, real breathing along avenue Maréchal-de-Saxe and its beautiful shops, and passion for the cuisine of two young chefs, Charlotte Bruyère and Matthieu Cesari, who were already at the best establishments. All our senses lead us to this small Zen island that exudes feng shui and well-being, where the body and mind get into harmony to better enjoy market produce. Indeed, there is no menu, but a cuisine that is naturally invented on day-to-day basis, enjoy the exceptional know-how of the two chefs. Futé admits to be bluffed by the quality of the dishes that are worth those of "big restaurants" of the city. In an alleviated setting where the mineral meets the vegetal, let yourself be carried away by delicate flavours that excite your tastebuds. We also love to enjoy the brunches of Saturday morning with three full formulas and delicious homemade products like this black olive tapenade, this gazpacho according to the market, without forgetting the Dammann tea or the centrifuged fruit juice. This address is a beautiful Futé discovery that will put your senses in bustle.

This is because this magnificent corner restaurant, at the intersection of Lyon and Villeurbanne, has the same age as the Smart ("the 1969 th") or because its very "decor" look, orange and rounded shapes, have slipped in the eye, that we have fallen under the charm of the Rendez-vous des amis. A sign that hides its game behind a «vintage» façade and the airs of neighbourhood brewery, located just steps from the Share Dieu. It is a much more elegant and gourmet appointment than it appears at first sight. First advantage, the reception that is really charming to make us enjoy a nice terrace or a room composed of objects all right out of the 1970 s. Little privacy in a noisy environment at lunchtime is a little quieter in the evening to enjoy a generous home made kitchen. " Lyonnaiseries "," masculine "dishes such as this excellent tartar or this beautiful rib of beef, but also more" feminine "dishes such as these well-composed salads, fresh fish of the day, or this impériales risotto and imperial gambas. Desserts also house with a well-inspired chef. An address that was not yet referenced by the Smart, but which deserves it. 

The least we can write is that if this restaurant is not still unanimously appreciated, it has rectified its situation since our last not very rave reviews. Setting did not change and steps from Musée d'Art Moderne, the room is modern in white and red tone to highlight fluid forms, including this staircase leading to the mezzanine. The terrace overlooking the amphitheatre, sheltered by large parasols, offers a pleasant refuge. The point of improvement is both services, more responsive and friendly at the time of our visit, and the cuisine that will never be that of Mathieu Viannay, Christophe Marguin or Frédéric Berthod, three chefs combined in the business, but a good cuisine in a brasserie way with some gourmet refinement as extra. On an well-stuffed menu, a Marmande tomato tartare served with a half ball of real di bufalo mozzarella, pesto and condiments, a whole grilled fish according to the arrival, lobster salad, risotto worthy of this name or a roast veal sweetbreads in casserole, before enjoying the famous creamy chocolate fondant. Considering how long we hear, first by our parents, then by our wife, that we can get lost at "Chez Plumeau", frankly, what a happiness to have a brand offering us a refuge with such wide opening hours! At Chez Plumeau, snacks and wine bar, you feel good. A little as at home near very chic Brotteaux, in this cosy and familiar interior at the same time. It's simple, once settled down at the bar, right in front of the green staircase, you would readily prolong your delicacy day by enjoying a new glass of wine whereas our dish is empty for a long time. And if it is empty, it means that it was filled with good things at the mealtime. In summer slate menu, a Caesar salad, a Limoux flank steak with shallot and its sautéed apples, beef tartare, a pistachio in sausage sauce with wine and a caponata in Sicilian way, before treating yourself with a simple strawberry dish. The whole accompanied by a good bottle (or just one glass) of Burgundy duly chosen or of a Côtes-du-Rhône wine of the owner. Homemade dishes and table d'hôte, fine wine and good food, every effort is made so that you feel at ease, even if you have a nice moustache. Let's get lost at Chez Plumeau!

With an ensign with "popular" sounds, some feel bad the House Marcelle in the heart of the very select 6 ^th arrondissement. And yet, this is where the bar-restaurant, where you're so comfortable at the time of coffee-growing, is at the moment. The House Marcelle is a real district bar with its large counter where you can chat by sharing in evening a gourmet dish and a good glass of wine. It should be said that the bottles are carefully selected and that they are displayed with different containers on a large slate that are devours. The bar is one thing and the boss's case, Jean-Luc Sibeud. With a high quality chef, everything is home. In a charming setting, a blend of nostalgia and avant-garde (we speak of lights), we come to midday with a formula of the day at a price that is challenging competition in the neighborhood. You need to look at the evenings where the cool frogs accompany a succulent pick before going to a Norwegian omelet. True gourmet and generous cuisine, as Lyon mothers once did. And of course, a consistent wine map to accompany everything. A Maison Marcelle that appears as one of the best addresses of the 6 ^th.

Contrast between the beauty of the places and the mediocrity of the offered catering services is impressive. And, we do not talk about the deplorable reception, impolite service... And yet, Café du Pond is still part of the Lyon's addresses where you go with much or less happiness according to your good fortune. Sign of gratitude, the sport scar that you let idling in front of the entrance, before going to park it in the underground car park of the place. See no kind of jealousy on our part, we like beautiful things. But when most of the place de Lyautey seems to be privatized only for the pleasure of some drinkers of luxury rosé, it bothers us! Eating is delicate and the "fresh" in seasonal menu are only of the name: Caprese salad, Terrace du Pond burger, cod loin. What is more annoying is the bad reception they reserve for those who are not regulars, until they realize that they are not welcome or ignoring them... In short, an address to avoid, even in dream location!

Where will we go back to get some freshness and happiness this summer? On the banks of the Rhône, in a beautiful boat moored on the quay, with brand new parquet flooring to welcome us. Have a drink, share a board, enjoy a large salad, a poke bowl full of flavors, the chef's burger or a creamy risotto with wild prawns... All this while being lulled by the waves and the beauty of the urban landscape. Homemade cocktails, with or without alcohol, wine and beer list to prolong the pleasure.
