The reference of the neighbourhood and, for many, one of the lyon references for lyonnaiseries. Of course, with such a sign, everything is made home, even the kindness of reception. An air-conditioned address that has found all the charm of a traditional cap, with its long seat, in a more trendy garden with this beautiful green anise on the walls. Another sublime place that will never be touched, the shaded terrace offers us moments of happiness. Pure happiness, it is also on plates with the know-how of a member of the White Toque Toque at the top of his art. We have a long way to go to enjoy traditional dishes like anywhere else: block crust with home jam, home-made foie gras maison gras, quenelles, of course house, pike with crayfish, no less famous pig foot stuffed and full to fail under any pretext with its paillasson apples, the beef net with morels, pick and vegetables from the market, and not forgetting Savoyard specialities to be reserved for the winter… great happiness that we need to return often to take advantage of everything and, in particular, a wine map that meets our expectations. And then the prices are particularly soft for such quality…

If you don't know the Slowfood movement yet, it's the place or never. A healthy restoration and sustainable development, locavorism and seasonal market products, all with respect for health, good eating and good humor for happy consumers. It's a bit angelic, but it works perfectly at Øslow. Vegetarians and veggies welcome, but others are not forgotten with beef tartare, coriander pesto and green lemon to give peps to your plate. Simplicity, conviviality, values that ultimately bring us back to basics and that is good.

Workers, workers (please do not remind anyone?) and all those who wish to make a nice meal in this semi-pedestrian area between Guichard Square and Les Halles Paul Bocuse, here is a brewery that has taken our attention this year. A nice terrace with large umbrellas in a pleasant passage, wine cellar behind the counter and room with the current tones to offer us a map ready to satisfy all appetites, especially those - and they are many - lovers of tartars. La Brasserie de la Bourse offers the only "tartare bar" of the city with a dozen tartars on the menu. Quality meat for a tartar cut to the knife to savour according to its style: Lyonnais, Italian, Spicy, Japanese, Thai, Fresca (grapefruit, cucumber, green apple, dill, shallot and lemon juice: excellent), Tropical, Asian, South or Indian. There is even a tasting plate to taste a maximum. Salads, traditional dishes of brasserie (frites fries, chef of the chef) and more original dishes (magret of cherry cherry duck, bream filet, candied lemon, vinegar of raspberry) to the desserts with a carrot tartar and ginger, lemon foam, nougatine to the coriander seed. Reading Futé is essential to find addresses like L'Essentiel. Within walking distance from the Garibaldi metro station, this local restaurant, which excellent reputation is famous, is not however the most visible of all, in a quiet rue Rachais allowing the shaded terrace to be classified among the most pleasant ones. L'Essentiel is not only the quality of the cuisine and the freshness of the products coming from local shopkeepers, even if that plays a great part there. It is also the reception of Vincent Cavazolli and his brother's whole team which welcome us under the best conditions at lunchtime like at dinnertime. In a warm room, where we can play on a Vegas style slot machine to gain a bottle, and a friendly atmosphere, we benefit from one of the very best value for money in the city. You have to know that the lunchtime option is at €13.50 (starter, main course and dessert) and €15 at dinnertime! A strock of luck for budgets of those who want to eat well. The à la carte follows the seasons and there again, the low prices does not affect the quality of the products. Beautiful variation of burgers, including an Essentiel with foie gras and duck breast or a Lyonnais with Saint-Marcellin cheese and diced bacon, huge mixed salads, and a meat selection, from the roasted rib eye steak to the lamb shank with garlic via the beef tartare (€12.50 for 180g of meat, a record). An Essentiel which is open to your requests for privatisation and gives life to your projects to organise a musical evening or else (a room which can accommodate up to 70 people with buffet or meal). No doubt, you have to go to L'Essentiel.

In its reservoir of good addresses, Petit Futé has selected Réservoir as one of its best addresses. Réservoir, called in tribute to the nearby Garage, it is the house of Franck, a man who does not do things by half. Great heart to receive us -adorable service but always very professional-, Frank has decorated his Réservoir of old cans, jerricans and hoists on a white and light background to give a style cheerfully offset to the whole. Another example, the lantern-lit toilets. Terrace, room and mezzanine welcome us with open arms, even groups that can organise meals in a private lounge. Homemade cuisine prepared with quality products for simple and good dishes, such as these famous homemade burgers, a treat (high quality meat for all dishes), with mozzarella and bacon burger this summer. But also, a homemade beef tartare also served with homemade fresh fries, of course, a gravlax salmon to vary the pleasures, a tuna risotto with golden sesame and desserts… homemade of course. Don't miss the Blind Test evening and weekend live concerts to spend an excellent time. A Réservoir that is full of well-deserved compliments.

As buddies share everything, Petit Futé shares its good addresses with its loyal readers. In this lively area around the Bourse du Travail and the nearby court, there are many restaurants. And when you have to choose, you have to follow Futé at Les Compères, undoubtedly one of the best "plans" of the sector. Beautiful terrace sheltered by a small vegetable hedge, terrace that extends towards the small park on the other side of the building. A cosy bistro-style which readily immerses us in a time that those under 20 years old cannot know. Warm welcome, even in case of crowds, or every Sunday for lunch -practical, Les Compères are open every day for lunch- when the rest of the neighbourhood is quiet. Homemade cuisine made with seasonal products and dishes available on the slate for all desires: Lyonnaise tart with sausage and Saint-Marcellin cheese, Crêtoise Salad for freshness, Croustade des carnivores or salmon tartare with dill for starter. Charolais beef tartare with razor clam, scallops cake with smoked salmon and spinaches or a bell pepper stuffed with beef and poultry. You can sweetly end with a chocolate fondant or a homemade pie. Friendly wine list. An address that opens for dinner according to the schedule of the shows at the Bourse du Travail.

What a pleasure to stop taking a sweet break on the avenue de Saxe in a brewery worthy of this name. Pleasant terrace to start the day by taking a good breakfast while watching the passers-up to their place of work or take a drink between two shops in a pleasant neighborhood. At noon, you can find refuge in a salle notes, with well-equipped spaces, with a family atmosphere, to enjoy dishes prepared by a young chef who has nothing to hide in his open kitchen. The map evolves every week, inspired by seasonal products. A voluntarily reduced card for homemade dishes and a bistro kitchen that does not seek too much frills: Well-made salads for summer, charolaise tender, a new homemade burger and also homemade French fries, soup to carbonara, to finish with a burnt cream. Wine list in harmony and choice of glass. Possibility of privatising the sites. An address noted by the Smart.
