Tiny village, but exceptional environment. Towards the end of the Middle Ages, Lioux was one of the many fiefdoms in the family of Agoult and four castles are located in the area of the commune. The high cliff of the Madeleine, born in the secondary age, which forms a 700 m long bar with 100 m peaks makes Lioux a place of great calm. Hikers will be able to borrow pleasant paths directed towards the Ventoux, including the so-called "Indochinese" path, where the trace of coals is found: in the last century, the manufacture of charcoal in the region was entrusted to Indochinese.
