Unlike its neighbor Saint-André, Rosans (500 inhabitants) is part of the natural park of the Provencal baronnies. It is located in the valley of the Lidane and is bordered to the north by the Montagne de Raton (alt. 1 473 m). It is crossed by the D994 which connects Gap to Bollène (N7), hence a certain activity in season. The village, whose origins go back to the 10th century, has suffered from major conflicts (notably the Wars of Religion and the Second World War). In 1962, it was the only French village to volunteer to welcome the harkis. The streets of Rosans have kept their feudal character and walking through them allows you to appreciate the old stones.
