The commune takes its name from the merger of three parishes in the 19th century. Paleolithic weapons have been found here, as well as a stone-cutting workshop, and traces of a lakeside city testify to an earlier human presence. The tuffeau and flat-tiled roofs of the houses stand out from the building materials of the Poitou region. There are several routes to explore this little corner of nature and its surroundings. There's also a lovely lake surrounded by a flowering fallow, a small waterfall and a wooded park with a playground. In the distance, you can hear the laughter of children splashing about in the inter-communal swimming pool.
