Here's a family-run business well known to all Palais gourmets! For over 100 years, they've been making a specialty made famous by Artigarrède: le Russe. Imitated, never equalled! The recipe for this cake dates back to the 19th century, and its name comes from its Crimean almonds and immaculate whiteness, reminiscent of snowy plains. Add praline cream, hazelnuts and a secret ingredient! The boutique, also all in white, has a resolutely refined style, with creations by Basque ceramist Goicoechea. Open Tuesday to Friday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 pm to 7 pm; Saturday from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2 pm to 7 pm; Sunday and holidays from 9 am to 12:30 pm. Closed from the end of June to mid-July and for the February vacations. Artisanal pastry shop, specialized in "Russe" : 2,10 € the part, plate for 6 persons at 29 €, for 12 at 44 €. Basque cake with cream : 2,10 € the piece, cake for 4 persons at 9,90 €. Rosquille at 1,50 € the stick, 7,50 € big. Chocolates from the Hautes-Pyrénées: 2.70 € per bite and varieties by weight (80 €/kg). Confectionery, fruit jellies, honey, jam, delicatessen with regional products, alcohol and champagne.
