The inhabitants of the village of Saint-Pierre d'Aigle have long lived from the work in the fields and the forestry. During the Great War, the Renault tanks left from here to join the battle of the Marne. In the 1970s, Saint-Pierre-d'Aigle saw its population decrease drastically. In recent years, the trend has been reversed with the arrival of many city dwellers attracted by the calm of the village and its proximity to Soissons and the Paris region. The village is distinguished by its pretty Saint-Pierre church and its war memorial. The village is also known for its French stone quarry.
