This village has beautiful monuments including the imposing statue of Georges Clemenceau (who spent his first youth in the Château de l'Aubraie, 4 km from here), and its covered market, with a metal structure similar to those built by Baltard. Go beyond the 19th century church to see the porch of the castle built by Jacques des Nouhes, one of the figures of Protestantism in the department, in 1620. A two-storey facade, a round tower and a rectangular pavilion form a whole that reveals the most austere facets of Renaissance architecture. Stroll along the banks of the Smagne River with its many paths suitable for walking
