Adjacent to the town of Sablé, Solesmes is best known for its impressive abbey on the banks of the Sarthe. Stand along the river on a foggy morning. You will see the imposing religious building appear through the fog. A magnificent sight not to be missed. Solesmes is also home to the Beaucé manor. Built in the 14th century, it is currently owned by François and Penelope Fillon. In the town, you can also visit the Notre-Dame church and the Saint-Aquilin chapel
