Durfort-Lacapelette, formerly called Durfort, is a village attached to the district of Castelsarrasin. Its house known as Durfort dating back to the 11th century is part of a long history as evidenced by its five churches scattered on its territory: the church of Saint-Paul-des-Brugues from the 19th century rebuilt on the site of a building from the 13th century. The church of Saint-Hubert, dating from the 15th century, replaced an older building and whose name comes from Ansbert, the first bishop of Moissac. Saint-Simplice, a 17th century church, was rebuilt in the 19th century.
