Nestled in the foothills of the Massif Central, at an altitude of 500 metres, the village of Teillet (from the Latin tilhetum meaning "place planted with lime trees") stretches between the Lézert valley and the Bancalié lake, from whose waters emerges the Grandval castle. The two deepest valleys are criss-crossed by the Lézert, which feeds the Bancalié dam, and the Dadou, which flows into the Razisse lake on the edge of the area. They offer beautiful walks. The city of character is also crossed by the Méridienne Verte, it allows sportsmen and curious people to practice many walks and activities
