The houses that house the 183 inhabitants of Projan hardly form a real village. It is rather an alignment of houses and barns, mostly recent, spread on both sides of a small country road. The village does have a town hall and an interesting church. The massive bell tower looks more like a castle keep and must have had a defensive role. There is little reason to come to Projan unless you plan to stay at the beautiful Château de Projan, which has been converted into a charming hotel. With a capacity of 16 people, the place is ideal for an intimate and romantic break.
