Coming from Samatan, you discover in the distance a manor house like a castle with its 4 corner towers with pointed roofs, increased by magnificent pink brick outbuildings. Private, this castle which was the prerogative of the Chapiers, a rich Toulouse family, cannot be visited. Overlooking the village, it was built at the beginning of the 17th century on the remains of the castle of the feudal clod, then modernized in the 18th century. One can also see the characteristic Sainte-Anne church with its bell tower-wall with three bells and a portal preceded by a large awning. This church was built in the 18th century and houses furniture from the same period: a marble altar, two terracotta cherubs, a reliquary bust of Saint James and a large painted canvas of Christ on the cross. On the spot one will not fail to notice the imposing Occitan cross painted on the floor of the town hall square. Situated 8 km northwest of Samatan, this commune of 128 inhabitants is now home to the headquarters and factory of Nataïs, the European leader in popcorn. If you want to enjoy a beautiful view of the Pyrenees, go to the cemetery car park. And for the local festivities it is in June and October.
