This small, picturesque village with its hillside overlooking a mesander of the Moselle is worth a break, even for the quality of its mineral waters and the landscape of the mosellan vineyard: 7 ha of vineyards operated by a dozen winemakers who produce a wine more than honorable and have the VDQS label since 1987 and the AOC label since 2010. In autumn, the Gréchen festival marks the arrival of the new contz. On the history side, the hospital of Saint-Jean-de-Jerusalem settled there in the Middle Ages and established a hospital (1432), which welcomed the poor. Today, Contz is located 2 km northwest of Sierck-les-Bains, the largest city in the surrounding area and is surrounded by the communes of Sierck-les-Bains, Apach and Haute-Kontz. Contz-les-Bains covers 3.2 km ² and has 491 inhabitants since the last census of the population dating back to 2006. In addition, the Lorraine Regional Natural Park is located in the vicinity, making it possible to extend the visit and open it on the surrounding area.
