Dalheim lies on a plateau set back from the Moselle, 10 km west of Remich and 8 km north of Mondorf-les-Bains. Today's village is built on the remains of the once important Gallo-Roman town of Vicus Riccacium. The site is the town's main attraction, so to speak, and can be visited freely or with a guide. Since May 2016, Dalheim has been home to the Centre régional de recherche et d'étude des vestiges gallo-romains (not open to the public). The municipality also has a 23 km mountain bike trail, passing through Mondorf-les-Bains, and footpaths. The present-day village of Dalheim dates back to the 6th century.
