Gondrecourt-le-Château, a peaceful village on the banks of the Ornain, has retained its bucolic charm. Its heritage is interesting, with beautiful medieval houses, the Guérin wash house, the round tower (which houses the Lorraine Horse Museum, open in summer), the old Benedictine priory. It hides a small pearl: the church of the Nativity of the Virgin. This 11th century historical monument collects treasures: baptistery, baldachin, stained glass windows.
