Montferrer is a mountain village built on a rocky eminence, Lo Cingle which offers a superb view of the border summits and the Alta Garrotxa. At the foot of the feudal castle you will have a panorama of the plain of Roussillon to the Mediterranean. In the summer you can enjoy the municipal facilities (swimming pool, tennis and mini golf). For the cultural aspect, the museum (city information 04 68 39 12 44) and the village church which has the privilege of hosting Dalmace de Castelou sarcophagus, one of the lords of the medieval era. In the village café «Bistrot de Pays» you will find the products of this corner of Vallespir (cheese, honey, essential oils).
