At the foot of the ruins of the 11th-century seigniorial castle that was home to the Treilhes Gléon Durban family for 600 years, the village of Durban nestles in a natural setting at the confluence of the Berre and Barrou rivers, between vineyards and garrigue. Over the past forty years, the village has expanded on the left bank, welcoming new establishments while preserving the soul of the Corbières. Let the sunshine guide you through the pedestrian streets and discover the Fort district, the former château chapel now the parish church of Saint-Just-et-Saint-Pasteur, and the 14th-century chapel of Saint-Hippolyte, restored in 2005.
