This village, mentioned in the 11th century, dates back to ancient times, with its standing stones: Roche aux Cailles, a menhir in the Bois de Culan; Roche du Géant; and Pierre Levée de Moquebaril on the edge of the D403, less than 1 km from the junction with the D58. The village's 12th-17th-century Saint-Michel church features an altarpiece depicting Saint-Loup, once reputed to cure children's fevers and protect them from wolves. Last but not least, the Lunain valley offers superb hiking trails for admiring Mother Nature and her many attractions (blackbird, hoopoe...) or for tracking down the mercury agrion..
