Situated between Morbier and Val de Mouthe (Doubs), Bellefontaine is one of the typical villages of the Haut-Jura region, offering a wide range of tourist attractions as well as industrial and craft activities. At an altitude of 1,060 m, it's also a small, friendly ski resort with three ski lifts, a snow wire and an alpine ski school, as well as 70 km of cross-country trails linked to those of Morbier, Chapelle-des-Bois and the Risoux forest. In summer, you can hike and mountain bike in the mountains. The Roche Champion lookout culminates at 1,260 m and the Roche Bernard lookout at 1,290 m. As for anglers, they can enjoy the Bellefontaine and Les Mortes lakes.
