Welcome to the City of Furniture. A city of 3 000 inhabitants built on the edge of the Semouse which flows into the Saône, about kilometres away, between Jussey and Port-sur-Saône. The docks have been carefully arranged and are prohibited for road traffic. It's nice! See also: the communal pond, the source of the Planey, an astonishing resurgence in the city centre, the castle Malliard dating back to the th and the parish church, high on the eve of the Revolution and always standing. The village has acquired a solid reputation in textiles and crafts (footwear, embroidery, straw hat). But it is the quality of the work of local cabinetmakers that Saint-Loup was named "Cité du Meuble" in 2015. For a long time, the city has had several furniture factories, including the company Parisot and the Factories combined.
