The name of this village does not tell you anything worthwhile. And yet, it has inspired one of the most beautiful stories and contemporary films clochemerles. Landresse is none other than the theatre that inspired the writer Louis Pergaud. And for good reason, he worked there as a teacher before being killed in the Great War. The village is also the starting point of a cave going to Sancey-le-Grand. It was used as a refuge two centuries ago for Christians who were being hunted down. Finally, the Community of communes has set up a route linked to the war of the buttons. But there is no question of reviving the quarrels between Longeverne and Velrans.
