18 km east of Maîche, in Saignelégier, Switzerland. Villages that can boast of belonging to two countries are rare. Goumois, nestled in the heart of the Doubs valley, is part of this particular caste. Divided into two communities, French and Swiss, by the 1815 Vienna Treaty, Goumois nevertheless retained a certain unity around his church. Surrounded by greenery and pine forests, this small village is also a lair of calm and silence, fishing, canoeing and hiking. One must dwell on the extraordinary landscape before arrival in Goumois, where there is still a relatively strong watchmaking tradition, commonly known as the pearl of the Doubs valley.
