This rural commune is part of the attraction of Pontarlier, the capital of the Haut-Doubs. The first mention of its existence dates back to 1262 under Henry II. It is distinguished by the richness and originality of its old stones and monuments. First of all, the 16th century cemetery cross is listed as a historical monument. As well as Fort Bachin with its archaeological remains. You will also see the chapels of Notre-Dame-du-Lac and of the village. For nature lovers, the site is a nature reserve of peat bogs. It adjoins a lake of the most preserved, answering to the name of lake of the funnel.
