The village, which has been part of France since 1659, took off at the beginning of the 19th century with its blast furnace fed by iron ore extracted in the region, which produced seven tons of cast iron per day. Today, the small village, which has nearly 800 inhabitants, has only two factories (wood and metal). It is interesting for its church Saint-Rémi, built in the 18th century by the religious of Saint-Hubert. It also has a golf course, built in the 1980s, which is very popular with amateurs
